EBERSWALDE - WHO ARE YOU?

Initial Situation

Since 2017, after down sizing processes, Eberswalde, north of Berlin Germany, became a growing city. This implies on going changes and transformation processes.

Research Approach

How can the current transformation be handled together with all the citizens? A common identity and one ´s own potential and self-awareness seems to be necessary, in achieving this goal. The project Eberswalde- who are you? had the following research question: What do Eberswalder citizens identify themselves with their city? What are the characteristics promoting a common identity awareness? Surveys on site followed by an concluding participitative workshop with interested citizens of Eberswalde emphasized on these points.
